To be honest guys i used to b a motorcycle mechanic and work in a yamaha dearlership but i dont know much about the aprilia rsv as i never worked on one.
I was hopping i could keep the light on the dash working cuz ive seen so many ppl pull away with the stand down and fall off,
is there any way of keeping the light working without it killing the engine when put into gear?
Or i was thinking of bypassing the enging kill switch and fitting another switch just for the light on the dash,

The light does stay on with the bypass done, i've forgot to flick the sidestand up once already 
Might be easier if you can get a used switch on the cheap. Try this guy on e-bay 110870552079 Just waiting for a coupla bits offa him, pretty good on prices too so far.
