Hi all,
Does anyone know if rsv's run and ride with the side stand switch removed from the side stand and left dangling in the bellypan?
Long story but bought race fairing without realising it won't go on with side stand in place. Doh!

On my 03 bike if you remove the switch it will activate the side stand cut out. You need to bypass the switch. You can do a DIY attempt or buy a bypass connector from the dealer for a few quid. In my 03 manual it shows how to do this, and its a pretty straight forward task.

When I first got my bike I read on another forum that the cut out switch often failed and left riders stranded, so I keep a bypass connector tapped onto my ECU just in case.
 
I bypassed mine 5 min job , i got fed up of starting putting it into gear, stalling, it gets tedious after the 15th time :eatcorn
 
mines been bypassed for few years now
no problems


just bypassed it on my track bike aswell & will be doing it to the fighter project in winter aswell
