just finished fitting the 15 tooth front sprocket and modified stand from bubseywoo. have had time or weather to test ride yet, but the side stand is the nuts

ok first pic shows angle of original stand
second pic shows comparison of stands on the bench
third pic shows angle of modified stand.
took 10mins tops to fit

Top job then mate................:thumbup should be getting my side stand in a few days

£45.00 + P+P. i only live 20mins down the road from him, so i didn't pay postage.
i don't think he has many left, but has another batch in production

sorry about the extra minute sprocker, windows resize tool took longer to cut them down from 5MB than i thought. will try to be quicker next time.:thumbup

This sidestand thing really puzzles me...:confused
On both of my RSV's I've never had a problem with the sidestand and neither bike appears to be at a worrying angle when on it.

Has nothing to do with lean angle of bike. if you look at the bike from either front or rear of the bike and look at how much mass of the bike is actually beyond the foot of the stand, you can see that it is possible for the bike to actually fall to the left, over the top of the stand. happened to many on here.
when you compare it to other manufacturers stands the foot is alot further away from the center mass of the bike. the original RSVR stand looks almost vertical. the moded stand dosn't alter the lean angle of the bike but pushes the foot further out. i tried gently pulling mine towards me over the stand while on a flat concrete floor and was amazed at how little effort was required to get the bike to fall over the top of the stand. imagine adding to that a slightly less than flat parking area and some wind. new plastics are a lot dearer than a modified stand.

Mine nearly went over on the left yesterday  parked it on a very slight gradient and as I got off the bike and the suspension onloaded (I'm a tad overweight!) I could feel the bike start to topple and just saved it in time.

Someone has put a slight kink in my stand at some point to help it come out a little further but this has caused the bike to lean too far as well. I have to use a small wooden block under the stand most of the time.

Have ordered a new one from bubseywoo hope it helps.

Still none the wiser - I regularly park my bike on an uneven gravel driveway with a small plastic puck under the side stand. Maybe susepnsion set-up comes into the issue ?

Badger has had a few more of these bikes than I have so am intrigued to hear his experiences.....

The Rsv's in the USA come with a different side stand similar to the one budseywoo is selling, why is that....????:dunno

Cos over there they'd sue the arse off Aprilia if their bikes fell over :lolwe tend to put up with these little idiosyncrasies and call it character :dowhat
