had no side stand light.after removing head fairing n clocks 2 replace bulb.
the bulb was fine? so we checked the elec feed and had half a volt.
so my elec mate checked the side stand n said it was nackered (ho no more
expence again been a bad month or well **** happens) my other mate said
can we fix it he said no its sealed.so of he went home. we just thought we d
start bike 2 make sure it was ok . it was untill we put up the side stand then
it stopped (ho no need it tomorrow) test ride at honda dealer. we discovered
that the lug on sidestand switch had broke.so we had to improvise take it 2
bits .2 discover it does come 2 bits .undo 8 mill bolt n take switch of center pin n turn up side down n remove dust seal (carefully ) in side is a slider plate
with 2 small springs(should be 3 ) the plate was very rusty plus contacts in
side switch . (plus broke lug) cleaned all parts .needed a small spring

were do i get a small spring(had a mad idea valve spring out of inertube)
just the lug 2 repairirate how do we do that . well get a split pin crush in
vice so flat cut 2 lengh n place in sidestand hole.cut slot in center part of
switch which matches split pin.but back together carefully .fit on 2 cut down split pin n fit 8mm bolt. started bike it ran:doug lifed sidestand n it still ran
result. even better sidestand light worked:thumbup what a result and its still
working.dont waste money try fix it it may work:nana:
