Side stand issues

Hi to all can anyone help me?
Is it me or the fact i havn't had a aprillia before are they all crap :confused
Im used to kawasaki's that have a good sidestand.
Are there any mods or ones off another bike that will fit

CBR1000RR 04-06 is a direct fit mate and a marked improvement :thumbup

yes cbr1000r stand is what I have put on my rsv but be warned it still stands very upright so I cut 10mm off my stand and welded the foot back on now sits as a bike should and much safer:thumbup

In a word............YES :devious

I fitted the previous gen Bubsywoo stand but I think that could be improved a bit.

I heard the standard one is off the Aprilia 125 and it's not up to the weight.

had a terrible moment on the petrol station forecourt this morn when i got off on the right side of the bike and it went down, i didn't clip it or anything:dunno. god knows how i was able to prevent any damage, the ape was resting on my knees at near 45 degrees! shat myself. took all of my pathetic muscles to get upright! fireblade stand is calling, shouting in fact. none on ebay tho at mo. all us 'zoners' are after em!!

I'm using a latest gen Bubseywoo stand and it's brilliant - just like a Jap stand. He did have some cracking issues with the old ones - mine had started to crack the surface coating so he sold me one of the new ones at half price. It's well worth the slight hassle of having to inspect it occasionally, I've tried the CBR(600) route and it was better than the original but still way too upright without modification, like Jerry says.
Just don't let the **** at the MoT station pivot it on the stand to check the bearings! (or put the old one on for MoT time)

I would like to say kawasakis weren't all that my old zx6r had the worlds shortest side stand it was a real problem if there was a camber in the road where it was parked or a bit of a hill and fell over several times and I made a grand *** of myself by haveing parked at such an angle that ment I was stuck and had to ask someone to push me upright, I have the blade stand now and its alot better the OE.
