Hi all again. More probs after dropping bike. 1st my side stand switch has broken. Is there a way to buypass it temporarily.

Also ive had to bleed my clutch. Is there a correct proceedure. I raised the clutch slave cylinder and mda sure no bubble in fluid. Now when on padock stand, in gear and clutch out i can spin the rear wheel. Its a bit harder to turn than in neutral bit it doesnt turn the engine over.

Please any help will be appreciated

What damage did the drop do ?

Air in the clutch system will cause clutch drag but you have clutch slip which isn't an air thing.

Either you have the adjustment of the lever or MC pushrod incorrect or there is another problem with your clutch.

If your sidestand switch is broken.
You can cut the plug off the switch leaving enough wire to join outside ones together then just pull the middle wire out. Plug the looped plug back in and it will be bypassed.

Just a quick note to say that the switches pre-'04 (Mille) and post-'04 (RSVR) are different.

For the RSVR, there are only two wires to join.

(BTW, the colour codes are Italian, so: N=nero=black, V=verde=green, M=marrone=brown and B=blu=blue)

Try loosening the clutch slave mounting bolts so that the slave cannot be putting any pressure on the clutch rod.
If it's still slipping then then problem is internal, if it's not it's gonna be something at the M/C probably.

You should have about 15mm free play at the lever tip on the clutch before it exerts any real pressure on the clutch

Good point BRG on the switch

Thanks for replys, ill sort sidestana tonight. May even get a fireblade stand now.

The cluch was fine untill the incident. I did remove the clutch lever so maybe pin on the master cylinder is correctly pushed in?
