Right got the bike back and now after replacing the metal tank with a plastic one the sides do not fit !
The bike is a gen 1 do i need the get 2 mesh side covers?

Yes you can fit the panels....some people drill and tap the frame for the lower fixing point,cable tie or how about sticky Velcro?

"Expensive" isn't the phrase I'd use, but then the phrase I used when I found out how much they were had several swearwords in.
One of mine is loose, and I've taken it out because I'd rather have it in a bits box, than have to buy a new one after it fell out.
I think the inside clippy thing has narrowed a bit so it's not a tight enough fit any more.
