what helmet brand do you use

im after a new lid,shoei,arai and agv seem favourites so far,pref a race rep,i like the shakey byrne repand even the kagayama by shoei,and some of the rossi's reps and also the haga rep by arai(he's my fave rider).
theres also an italian flag design by both agv and arai thatd be mart with the aprilia.ive got a blue and silver shoei with blue iridium visor that i had designed by racepaint uk,but its got a large R1 sprayed on the back,my other lid is a nice hjc but its plain black with tinted visor and its a bit plain.
what do you lot wear lid wise/recommend or which have you seen that you like?
i fancied a mcguiness rep but it doesnt look like they do one??:confused:thumbup

IVE GOT A RUTTER MARK ONE WITH THE BULLDOG ON THE BACK(SHOEI) I HAD A RED KAGAYAMA BUT THE THIEVING BS HAD IT WITH MY CBR600RR ,GOT THE RUTTER FROM EBAY £94 EXCELLENT CONDITION

If you are in the market Bigun, i'd personally point you in the direction of American ebay. With the exhange rate the way it is, you'll get it miles cheaper that you will here, inlcuding the postage :thumbup

On a slightly different note. Arai are about to launch a new top of the range model, so i'd guess that you'll see certain RX7 Corsairs dropping in price soon.

Haga rep is :inlove still would love to find an original Haga Quantum rep! :biggrin
 
I can't get on with Arai Helmets. They just don't feel right on. My Shoei XR1000 is the best thing I have put on me nut.
 
i tried a few arai and found the sme,shoei fit better,thought a newer model may be a better fit?.
seen a mick doohan quantum rep,always wanted one of those,its £65 so far.
also an arai chris walker,looks cool.

These are the helmets i wear,for what i paid for them they are the best value for money any where out there, both these helmets retail at £299 i paid £79 for The silver one and at last years motorcycle show at the nec i paid £49 for the FF4 venom(red one) i was only after a clear visor for the silver helmet when i come across the red helmet on the J&S accessories stand half the show price on the final day and as for the helmet i think there a very good one of the lightest helmets on the market good visor system and reasonably quiet

i like ogk,i always wanted the david jeffries rep,but you cant get it anymore.
tbh i thought theyd stopped making them,havent seen one in any of the bike shops round here for ages.
think the also did a steve hislop rep too.
theres a joey dunlop rep arai on ebay but its going for stupid money.
liked the foggy rep shark lids too.
 
It's wporth having a look around got my first one from Busters and when i was looking around for mine there was some David Jefferies one on ebay but did'nt have my size

Ive got AGV Stealth, 2007 st george, its a good helmet, fits nice and is really comfy, holds head well at speed and no visor air leaks, get a bit of wind noise tho, i would defo buy another AGV :thumbup:thumbup
