Treating myself to a new lid for crimbo.
Would like an Italian theme, Any good examples out their.:thumbup

My favourite lid is my Shoei RF-1000 and I was eyeing that Locatelli. Mine is the Picotte rep lid. He's a Canadian and he raced for Harley for many years on the VR project. He is still very active in the racing community with sponsorships and teaching. The Shoei is the quietest and mostr comfortable of all my lids. The visor change is seconds, literally. Negatives... higher price than some others, that being said, the fit and finish is absolutely beautiful!! The pin striping is done by hand and looks gorgeous. The RF is more thought out for the everyday rider. Still fantastic on the track, but more amenable for everyday. I have tried the X11 and comfort is great, but very loud as it flows boo coo air to keep a racer cool. I'd buy another RF-1000 in a heartbeat. Five stars for this lid.

Italian as they get. Valentino Rossi Dreamtime rep

Bigger pic please sean...

I'm rather happy with my Gen II AGV St Andrew's. I had the V-flyer (an exceptionally comfortable helmet) St Andrew's on when I hit a deer and went asphalt surfing. The Stealth (new version) is significantly tighter. The chin bar rests on my chin, no room. So when I have a beard, it's nae so bad, but clean shaven and I always have a sweaty chin. The Shoei RF-1000 remains my fave.

ah've tried and canae get the pissin thing any bigger :-( fuckinn pcs,,,,, but its a agv ti tech, custom painted wi a saltire starting at the back running forward and a lion rampant flag draped ower the top, will keep trying pic enlargement

Do you really think Shoei lids are worth their pricetag Shvl me lad? I'm not having a go at you at all either mate, it's just that my last Shoei was a noisy and uncomfortable pos. Mind you, that was 20 years ago. Are they that much better now than most of their opposition?
I'm wearing a two-year-old AGV Airtech at the moment. I'd only rate it 6.5/10 for comfort and noise though. So I will be looking for a replacement in the next year or so as well. I must admit, I've not tried on a new model Shoei because of my past experience, which may be a mistake.:dunno

There must be a wealth of knowledge here as far as this topic goes. We all have to wear them, after all.

I had an old Shoei twenny years ago as well. Not that great. Neither was the Bell. Try one on now feller me lad and I think that you will be pleasantly surprised.
