Before you take the plunge......My brother-in-law has a VERY low mileage '05 RSVR sitting in his garage that he won't ride anymore now he has his Speed Triple.....I appreciate you may have to take into account trade-in etc..BUT this may be a cheaper/better option...If you're interested PM & we'll see if it's a go-er!!!

Far better chance of a good buy privately, there are plenty out there to choose from, don't just jump in mate, go and look at a few, it's a buyers market out there just now, take advantage of it:thumbup

Well I've just got back from test riding both of them.
The RSVR was stunning, it felt like a new bike.
The Factory wasn't as good, when riding it felt really sloppy it had done a few more miles and I think it had been a bit abused. I don't think all factory's are like it just that particular one.
Overall I think they are an evolution of the old style, am in even more of an indecision now as to what to do!
The only photo I could find was the one of the RSVR

The RSVR looks amazing in that pic, you sound like you have fallen in love with it and in your own words state that it feels 'new' i wouldn't even give the factory a second thought if it feels iffy now you will only be disappionted later. Good luck choosing a bike, remember there are always loads of private ones around so you may find a factory in better nick. All the best :thumbup.

Ok it's happened, I took the RSVR out for another test ride today just to be sure, and as you can prob guess I put a deposit on it, the factory had gone, but I like the look and feel of this bike, oh yeah I haggled a bit and knocked him down by £500.
Had a really thorough look through the bike and it's unmolested apart from a different screen, which means I can enhance it whatever way I want to :thumbup
Oh just need to sell my mille now, in an ideal world I would have both but that would just be greedy and I need the cash from my mille to pay for the new one.
