Ive drained the oil tank and pulled the filter out only to find the replacement I ordered from ebay oil change kit is shorter than the one I took from my bike, I'm guessing they've sent me the wrong one, can anyone confirm or deny? Dont wanna fit it or send it back til I know if its ok or deffo the wrong type filter

You need one the same size as the one already in there, there are two sizes available.
So yes it sounds like they sent you the wrong sized fliter.

Yeah thats what I was thinking but even searching the K&N website with my bikes details brings up part no KN152 which is the one Ive been sent? Why's this happening…..it doesnt state theres 2 sizes available!

Aye mucker that yin will do yer fine.

A cannae mind the reason for them changin tae a longer filter but they did.

Am sure someone will come up wae the reason soon enough.

the longer oil filter is standard on the later models. If ye take the time tae dig back thru thethreads on here you will find plenty info on the whys and wherefors of it. Keith B stuck some thing up a whiley back I,m sure

Wiz a common mod by some to change to the longer one.

You can tell whats lurking below by the length of the filter cover cap, if it looks quite deep aboot 30 odd mm its the long filter, if the caps shallow aboot 10mm its the short version.

One u need is a 564 HiFlo do one ref HF564 Aboot 7 quid tae buy. THeres nae real benefit in a K&N other than gettin a free sticker wi it IMHO.

Cheers Rico, all clear now and have a nice new longy filter to fit.
Shorty K&N free to a good home if anyone wants?
