Shorty adjustable levers are these any good??

and i come from Slovakia where a lot of cheap things with great stories are being sold and i consider myself kinda cured out of that :)

anyway back to the levers. what advantage do the short levers provide to you? or what disadvantage do the originals have so you cant stand them on the bike anymore and you go for swap for these?

What is wrong with those discs then???? stainless - so no rust....wavy design and 6061 inserts whats wrong with em???

Ultimately I have come from an enduro background and found shorter levers easier to use and control my bikes, and so feel comfortable with this setup.......when I test rode my rsv the last couple o' days I found I did not like the long levers so mucho:confused at the end of the day it is up to you the rider what you felel comfortable with.....if looks or quality or feel or braking effort I was not tyring to promote anything just get a general overall response on what riders like best!!

I suppose u could call me biased but I do still think from what I have seen for sale there are much better quality shorty levers for sale than OE equipment items out there..........end of ........:thumbup

Well impressed with the quality of these they are nicely cnc machined and look the business hope they feel as good under braking when fitted.

Levers

My levers are made in the USA and are cnc machined ,not made from cheap alloy in a cast.I use these levers on both my road bike and track bike.They have been tested by not just myself but many people I know,there have been no failures whatsoever.THESE LEVERS ARE NOT CHEAP NASTY ONES MADE OF CHEESE.I supply these levers in bulk to a large uk supplier,I just had quite a lot spare as I always over order,and then sell them at a good price to fellow Aprilia riders.
 
I have been using the "cheap Hong Kong " ones for two years with no problems whatsoever,
I know a lot of other folk with them too,they have reported no problems with them either.
I have also seen the same "cheap " ones on ebay for double the Hong Kong price,but they are located in the UK.
I don't see how some folk think they are cheap and nasty,maybe I don't like paying over the odds just for a name/badge...
 
Not saying they are all crap,but have had a lot of experience sourcing and purchasing parts for cars and bikes abroad.A lot of companies in China have got their act together and produce some really good quality item,but a lot of them dont.And I totally agree why pay over the odds for a brand name when something very similar can be purchased cheaper abroad.But not all the companies producing automotive components in the East are good at it,But some are and as time goes on the better they get.I know of a couple of companies in China producing motorcycle components,and they are spot on,I also know of some which are not.I was just stating that the levers I sell are very good quality..I do not wish to offend anyone..
 
One thing I can say .........the cnc levers I bought form vezmes (wherever he got them from)machining/build quality/precisionm & weight are an absolute steal for the money......I have seen the pazzo levers and these are just as good and the feel/quality is spot on......:thumbup

I have seen 2 different types of these cheaper cnc levers
1 type has 3 holes drilled in the lever arm ----cannot say what quality is like......
The other has a triangular cnc cut in the lever arm and another further out in the lever and are made of very good quality ....I guess 6061 alloy and are perfect in the articulation with no sloppiness , solid construction and positive feel
there I feel better now..........:dunno

Been out for a ride with my short versions and luv 'em made me feel right at home instantly with the 2 finger covering feel suits me.........
maybe not every1's cup o' tea tho.....:biggrin

mcmotorparts ebay. Says based in Hong Kong but items are distributed from the South of England. Very fast delivery, came in about 3 days. Excellent quality and look the dogs bollocks. There are six positions on the levers also and work a treat. 10 minutes to change both. http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/mcmotoparts
 
There are undoubtedly some good rip offs out there...you pays yer money and to take your choice.
Any manufactured product can fail, even the very best. The difference is that the pukka companies will carry decent product liability insurance, just in case something goes horribly wrong.
Say for instance your brakes fail...a third party gets killed? I'm not too sure how your insurance company would react if they discovered you'd fitted Chinese aftermarket 'knock offs' that could have been a contribututory factor.

Can't see that being a issue, where the product was made, providing it's ment to do the job your using it for. It's just the same as buying any thing for your car from a motor factor rather than from the original manufacter. i got new discs (brembo) for my merc at a fraction of the price of OE merc parts. are they Inferior quality to original ??? very hard to tell

I've used fleabay lever's on my last two bikes with no problems, quality was up to pazzo standards for feel and use. i've used the type with the adjustable blade so i can get the lever length that i want, i'll probably get some for the RSV once i get sorted.

Suppose it's down to pay your money, take your choice (thank god we still have that!!!)
