are the spacers on either side of the wheel different sizes and have you got them the right way round?

I personally don't think there is that much of an issue there Andi, both of my bikes do that when trying to spin the wheel, it looks to me like the pads are lightly touching the disc causing that, when on the move it is not an issue, just my thoughts as you seem to have covered most if not all other possible causes, if i went out and took a vid of mine it does exactly the same.

Andi, I agree with Iain here - mine is the same and all my bikes have been like that, my mx bikes used to run freely but all my roadbikes have that slight bind so I don't think you've got a prob there bud.

cheers

Cheers Clyde mate.......i'll try Tim's suggestion along with new pads todayand leave it at that.

Cheers bud.................:thumbup

hi, as clyde , all my bikes have always had slight bind, if i remove calipers, when reffiting them i pull front brake on, then hold with elastic band, then torque up caliper bolts.

Front wheel

Every bike I've had with disc brakes have rubbed slightly when just spinning the wheel.
Hard to tell how much pressure you're putting into spinning the wheel on the vid, but if not a lot, as stated elsewhere, I don't think there's a problem.
You'd soon know as it wouldn't take very long when riding for the calipers to get red hot.

Think you'll find in disc brakes the pads are always just in contact with the disc, if they were not the brake lever would have exess travel, so if you have high friction pads (HH) they will bind a bit at slow speed -just my thoughts :)

Just checked mine andi and mine bind aswell, sprayed the brakes with cleaner and the wheel spins freerer now.

Nothing to worry about mate.

Nah, they shouldn't bind, your bikes are all fooked. LOL

Only kidding guys, it's just Tims' bike that's fooked. :doug

Oh Alan' How can you say that about Tim's bike..........................Lets face it Tim's technical/mechanical knowledge is so superior to ours his bike could never be fooked...........

LOL, I did say I was only kidding Scott!!!

Tim, you should have used your lighter on your brakes when you sprayed the cleaner on them. Well they do say that brakes work better when they are up to temperature!

Isn't that right Tim?
