In the hope if paying back for the great advice I've had, here a little something you might not know.

1. I'm so slack I didn't realise that most things on the T were plastic. (Nob).

2. Ordinary cleaning stuff is therefore useless..... Yes I tried it !!!! (Double nob).

Wait for it..... I do have a point.

Finished getting all the crud off from the from my voyage from the far north and I'm almost happy with my attempt to get it something like.

Here's the tip. Get hold of a product called NANOLEX. Trim rejuvenator. Total transformation of all the panels and the tank. Does exactly what it say on the bottle. I just had a small sample, but I'm gunna buy a full size bottle straight away.

This is the result.

Give it a try. :thumbup

lookin good , nice one.
i must say that i have found the finish on aprilia,s far far better than ,owt that has come out of japan !!
mine always comes up real clean without too much effort , but then again i do keep on top of it so it dont get too ******* up .

Mmmmm.....

I'm not going to disagree, but it's like comparing apples and oranges. The paint on my 25 year old jap is perfect and has stood the test of time, however I have cared for it meticulously.

And I'm not saying the previous keepers of my T have not, but having worked on it for most of the day, its obvious they've cleaned only what they could see. Yesterday's drenching made me strip things off to check where the water had gotten in. The answer is, everywhere. I've had a rag in all sorts of places where one has not been for a long time to clean out water, stains and dust.

All the studs are getting copper slipped before they go back in. I'm enjoying myself. So easily pleased.:lol

Aye mucker it's clean and sparkly, pity yer missed the afore and effert pics though.

Did yer get tae the arse of the SERVICE warnin.

Hope it's noo dried oot and gone,,,,,,,,,,,,never to return.

Sure did pal. Worked out with your help how to clear the faults. Didn't check what they were, if they come back on I will.

Thanks again.

Damned fine looking motorcycle sir.:thumbup
I just had to go in the garage and give mine a pat.

Just finished work and had to go in the garage myself. I'm sure that NANOLEX stuff has somehow developed overnight and bonded to the plastic. The finish is fantastic. :cool2

to be honest, never heard of it, intrested to know how it reacts with heat and uv.

let us know... deffo curious pal.

I got it in a box of cleaning product samples with some other bit and bobs and it's designed to rejuvenate and protect plastic trim from the effects of UV by bonding to it and sealing.

"Nanolex Trim Rejuvenator is a highly reactive coating that instantly forms a chemical bond on a molecular basis with the plastic trim it is applied to. Nanolex Trim Rejuvenator refreshes and protects lightly faded plastic permanently with one single layer that can be applied very easily. Coated surfaces will regain a fresh, natural appearance. Plastic exterior trim will be protected against environmental factors and can be easily maintained"

Straight from their web site.

Buy some. It's worked a treat.
