I'm looking to buy some lower engine crash protectors. Ive heard a lot of people on this forum that a lot of you have removed them after them constantly banging your shins on them! Regardless of this, i need to get some and just get used to it since with the terential rain we've had recently and the decomposing foliage compiled with my refusal to slow down, i fear a crash on the horizon and thought i'd ask if any of you guys have any lying around that you'd like to get rid of for a resonable price.
Thought it'd be better than giving R&G the satifaction of getting another oner! :thumbup

I have the R&G's lowers on mine and to be fair the first couple of time I rode it I did bash my shins ( although if wearing boots it's no bigeee)

After that it's just not a problem, you seem to just not do it,also I read on here somewhere that people found it difficult putting the stand down with the bungs fitted?? WTF ? they are nowhere near

I must be very lucky as my Oxtar clad size 10's fit in there without any problems AND I have a good working rear brake and air free clutch as well. :dunno

You'll be fine with them :thumbup

i had these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aprilia-Mille-Heavy-Duty-Race-Quality-Crash-Bobbins_W0QQitemZ220441346156QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item335354006c
before hand and although I did knock my shins to start with I soon got used to it and stopped. Alot of people on here have been buying them and I only changed as I got the R&G's for the upper and these came with them. I now have the ones in the link in the garage in as new condition if you're interested:dunno
Only used for a couple of rides out, let me know.

not such a prob if you have rear sets and/or use the balls of yer feet, plus I'm only a size 9. They did take a bit of getting used to, but have saved my carbon wheels/ swingarm/fork lowers in the past

Mate, OK, I'm a bit of a shortarse but I never notice them - I've got the ones off Ebay on PP's link and they're fine. Solstice just highsided at the track last week and his bungs saved a massive amount of damage by the look of it. Well worth it.
