Loving the stripe down the tank especially..

Laughing, you do jump around forums don't ya. Thanks again for the compliments, will update you with some prices of painting soon bud.

Very nice bud i have a reddun i think its the best colour they did em in........are u keepin the wheels blue though????
I reckon they would look perfect in white with some red pinstriping round the edges!

Top quality job - looked great in white with the headlight surround done, but what you've done there is really nice.
Sorry to hear about 'er indoors, but now you've got more time on your hands I might have a big job for you - fancy doing my transporter?!
Brands Hatch tomorrow evening - and if I bin it like I did last time there we might be talking van AND bike!!!
And I agree with 2TROKE, the wheels will look good a different colour.

Hi lads, thanks for your replies, really nice comments. The wheels are going to be satin black for now...the blue doesn't go with red. I did think white, but my mate on a K1 is for ever cleaning his hahaha..I do do private work and will be sorting some prices out soon, just got alot on in my head right now.

Anyway, cheers all..

Excuse my blaspheming but Jesus H Christ that looks fan fkn tastic mate. Really nicely thought out and executed design. Utterly love that. Well done that man!

I like it.
I'm gonna be picky though, the line running horizontal looks like it needs to be fatter so it flows to the line on the tail unit.
I'd have liked to see the tank stripe continue onto the pillion seat cover rather then the three strips running across it.
:)

Yeah the tank stripe being continued is something that was originally a thought but the slats that run horizontal on the pillion cover would have made it uncomfortable if you get my meaning. I was thinking at one point to cut them and smooth it out in order to continue the stripe, and maybe I may do that on a secondhand one. Lines being thicker, yes I see where your coming from, I was a little worried about them being too thick and it looking like a honda cb1300 though...kinda slightly less is more, and secondly, my head was not in the best place when I was laying it out....thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it...

Thanks for the comments lads.

yeh think the tank strip going down the tail section the same would look neater but looks great

916's are Red. 748's are yellow :(

All Ducatis are yellow underneath. They use yellow as the base coat for red....therefore there is less paint on a yellow bike so it is lighter and therefore faster :nana

Flattened and polished the tank today, fitted passenger rear subframe and tank, then run her up to see if she's all good..
