as you all are prob sick of reading about my starting wooes - i can confirm for the last 3 days she's started first time every time, so i beleive eventually the problem to be solved.....
in case you're wondering, what the problem was, i'll juust say poor workmanship and care from someone....
here's a list of things i've done to help - exactly which one solved it i'm not sure.....
re-soldered and insulated all wires where an alarm had been removed
re-routed both fuel lines to ensure the tank was not sitting on them
cleaned out the tanl and filters
tightened up (very loose) the clamps around the base of the injectors where they fasten to the cylinder heads...
sold my soul to the devil
sacrificed 4 naked virgins to the Aprilia God

well it worked!

Glad to hear you got it sorted with any luck ol mate. Maybe ya just better do over another one of those Naked Virgins, just to be sure :D

ok if i must - lol
and one things for sure the bike will be getting some testing cos it has literally poured it down here now for 3 days solid and there's not let up forcast yet!

Hey, im very happy to hear you have solved your starting whoes. Maybe you could hop over to australia and fix my bike, i think mine ways doing exactly the same as yours.

I can probably compensate you with good spring weather, and some nice dry roads to ride on. And if you lucky i can even scroung up some nice virgins.

If you can please bring a spare soul that would be greatly appricated, as i have already sold mine to the devil for a six pack of jimbeam an a pack of smokes.

Any way on a more serious point what is tanl filters and which exact bolts to tighten up.

Plus one more thing to add i have to give my girl a big wrap. It was my birthday yesterday, and to my surprise i found out my partner does listen to my ramblings on about my bike. She bought me the evo airbox kit and a powercommander.

Im absolutley wrapped. I like im the luckest man alive....

These virgins you talk about, ......they are female right?:dowhat

ok that was meant to say "tank filters" - remove tank then fuel pump (easy but you will need replacement clips for the retun fuel line, i suggest you dont get the aprilia ones they're impossible to get back on.
you have 2 filters a bag filter on the bottom and a large plastic filter. clean both with pressurised air......

if you lift the tanl and look under the airbox, you'll see the 2 injectors sat on the twin head, underneath them there are 2 rubber boots held on with a metal clip, ensure these are tight.

check both fuel lines for kinks and mine had a cable tie rounf them too tight, also check the routing so when you lower the tank to pressure is put on them. i removed the cable tie and did not replace, so the 2 pipes could manouvre individually and not get trapped.

also under the tank you have 2 small pipes (again on the right) remove both, dont worry nowt will come out unless you've got a full tank, in which case it'll already be coming out of the bottom of the pipe.
check the ventilation pipe isnt blocked with oxidisation, if it is use a pin to clear it then a nail or something bigger, should be a straight hole through.

good luck

I think it was the fuel filters, but I would say that because I suggested it LOL
