Service light ?

Went for a ride today. Did about 20 miles then stopped for gas. Went to start the bike and it didn't catch but I felt like I maybe didn't hold the starter button in long enough. Fired up right away on the 2nd try but I immediately got the "service" message and red triangle. Bike sounded fine and rode great so I chanced it and rode home. Was worried if I turned it off it may not start back up. Temp was 180 all the way home, no issues. Turned the bike off and back on and the service light disappeared. Used the 13432 code to check for any stored codes and there's no ECU or dashboard errors. Is this normal? Something I did when starting up the bike after filling up with gas?

Looks like all is good now, but just really curious about the service warning light coming on. Battery is good and I keep it on a tender between rides.

How many miles on the clock? Perhaps a service reminder?

No it's not the service reminder. I think that's the spanner image that indicates the reminder. Bike has 5,300 miles.
I did a search of this forum and read that the service warning/red triangle light can get thrown by low voltage. I'm thinking I didn't hold the starter button in long enough and maybe fooled the ECU into thinking the battery was on the fritz. Hope that's what it was. Seems fine now.

think you should be ok mine had done this . its fully serviced and nothing shows up on the diagnostics .just ride and have fun
