Has anyone had a go at making the gen 2 seat a bit more comfy? I have tried adding extra pounds to my rear end with no great gains in comfort !! Can the cover come off and extra foam added ?

The cover is only held on by staples isn't it so I would have thought you could have undone a few yourself and slid a gel insert in. Thats the cheap option.

I'm surprised you find the need to change the seat Pike. Mine is fine.
The ebay link may help tho' good luck

ah guess if yer scaly an a bit oan the "fin" side the seat micht feel a bitty hard....

Done 510 miles in one day, no major arse ache (windy neck ache though!)

For long term traveling, the Roho Airhawk is the ****. $149 Cdn for the best money that I have EVER spent on comfort. Any one that I have ever lent mine to, has bought their own. Wifey took mine to Aus for some travels and used it on her Duc to travel 17K miles with nary a bum pain or monkey butt issue. Airpockets and is the same as what quads and paras use in their wheelchairs to stop decubitus ulcers (holes in their ***). The trick is to NOT overinflate.

I had a Corbin seat on the xt600e i used in South America for about 16k miles and that was awesome; you don't want anything *too* soft mind.

You can get gel pads inserted; the mate I was travelling with had get inserts put into his XT600e seat and it made a big difference...some guy up near peterborough did it, can't remember who tho.

Seem to be a bunch of people doing it - this place seems about the same ££ as my mate paid about 5 year s ago - http://www.saxonseats.co.uk/gel-pad-installation
