Seat cowl

Hi Rob
The best thing to do is ring them up and ask for Russ.

Tell him you have a Gen 1 Tuono and want a GRP one and mention me/ Steve and this forum too :)
It will definitely fit your seat base for a 2004 bike as it's the same as mine :)
He gave me the carbon one to fit to my bike so they can use the pics on their website and people can see it fits correctly, looks great quality and is the correct shape (not the curved back end one!)....I only took the pics today mate :)

Anglo Saxon has ordered a Normal non carbon one and I was hoping to see his pictures up soon too ;-)
QB let him have the non carbon one for £60 plus postage I think.
They will sell the Carbon one at £100 or 5 for £450 if group buying.

I'm now keeping/buying the Carbon one even though I have a normal black one too lol

Russ knows all about these Gen 1 Cowls and it's him who makes them!
For £60 you can't go wrong can you.....bargain!

Nice one Ric, £60 is a good price I'll give em a call tomorrow.
I notice there's a 2004 cowl on eBay currently at £100 + £10 postage and no bids as yet.
Cheers,
Rob

I would be interested in one of these in carbon, if we could get the group discount that would be better still.

Hey Starman
I've seen the one on ebay and it's a bargain and can't believe no one has bid on it yet....In summer it would be very sought after.
£100 quid is a good price as that one comes with the base and you don't have to cut your seat base up.
For £40 more I would get the eBay one and keep the seat.

If it were to go for around £140 or more and I didn't care about my own seat, then I'd go for the QB one.

your own swat base does require a little trimming here and there if I remeber rightly....but if your handy it's not hard :)

Still it's nice to have options again, as nobody did these anymore until QB took a mould and restarted the line :)

Hey SimonB

For saving a tenner is it worth the hassle of collecting in 4 other people's money....It does look great in Carbon too :)20150115_124058.jpg

Not sure which to go for yet,i have the standard red Tuono seat unit so could go for grp and get it sprayed to match.
I also have a proper Aprilia made carbon seat unit which cost a fortune and am unsure wether i want to keep it or see if i can sell it.
They do look good quality though.

Ouch, that genuine Carbon one must of cost a packet!

If I'm honest,I prefer a colour matched one to the carbon one,I just need to get my rear end repainted after my little incident last year lol

Im still toying with the idea of going for carbon or just fettling my painted cowl? In the mean time i jave just ordered a set of carbon rad end cowls :)
