Are they worth having ?

I`ve a Gen II, with the standard screen on it, and I`m wondering if it`s worth shelling out to buy a slightly higher one ?

Don`t get me wrong, if I`d have wanted a tourer, I`d have bought a fookin` Goldwing, LOL, but I`m just liking the Puig screen, and I`m thinking it`ll cut a bit of wind blast as I need to commute on my T.

Any comments ?
 
I bought a power bronze but it aint much higher than the origional & does **** all. I saw ****** with quite a decent one & was contemplating getting one like his. Don't buy my power bronze if you see it on E Bay but welcome to bump up the price if you like.
 
Don't find wind blast much of a problem sub 110mph. Hanging on keeping eyeballs focussed from much more of a problem when dishing out the beans.:whoop :roost
 
I've got a puig screen on my gen 2 and it works a treat, not tried the bike with the standard screen tbh as it came with the puig already fitted.
 
Got the Puig jobbie, did nuthin but shift the wind frae chest tae heid but as ah like the look o it so it works fur me!
Some swear by the Ermax ones but personally ah dinnae like the look o them.

Ahm 6ft 1 by the way so mibbe if yer a short erse they work better.....
 
I had a Puig on mine but have just put the standard screen back on for a change. I like the Puig, I'll let you know how different the standard one is as I can't remember what it felt like now!

Must admit, I`m leaning toward the Puig at the moment, not just for protection, but for looks as well, as I feel they finish off the bike at the front a bit more ?

I can see a smoked one getting ordered shortly, after these positive comments from those who have one, as my T is black, and it`ll look the dogs........:cool2

Then I need an idea on some stickers, as I think maybe I`m wanting to break up the black a bit.............but not too much, as I like the matt-black....:thumbup
 
Ive got the taller original Aprilia ..

Looks quite nice but it makes **** all difference = complete waste of money.

Got my set of E Bay some geezer selling all sorts of race replica ones. I got the rizzla racing ones. A lot are for fairing so no good as too big but look alright in the shed. I'm not sure whether the intention is to laqueuer over them coz I'm a knob but the colour comes out of the red ones. I stuck a load on that looked OTT then just tore off the ones that started peeling or the colour came out of. sort of ended up looking allright. mostly just white remaining now & I daren't scrub too hard when I'm cleaning. But who cares can always get some more. I also got the intel V Twin inside ones seperate & small red Aprillia ones seperate, they seem ok & havent started peeling yet.

Now THAT looks the bollox Rico, so mucho thanks for taking the time to post it mate !

The screen looks just about the right shade that I`m after, and Baggy`s sticker looks the dogs on it too. Thanks again mate..........helped me make my mind up, I`ll be having a Puig ! : )

Edit: I`m a short-arse too, at only 5`9, so the blast may well go straight over my swede..........
 
I have change the original for a clear Aprillia taller screen. I prefer the looks of the taller screen it also gives some protection to the clocks if you get caught in the rain - helps prevent the fogging up problem.

Being a bit of a short arse I do get some benefit from the taller screen - I reckon if you much over 5' 7'' then there will be no difference so just buy the one you like the look of

You must be like a kin Oompa Loompa to get any benefit from one of those dude!
 
Don't have one at the moment - will try and get one sorted - away from home until Friday - never added a pic before so will give it a go
