Saving that lovely yellow seat?

Hey all, just got my TV4 here in sunny southern California and I'm lovin it. But I'm wondering how I can keep that lovely yellow seat from getting soiled n nasty over time. All the mag and online reviews concur...the seat gets ugly really quick. Any suggestions?

I sprayed the seat with Scotch Guard .... and it seems to have helped..... but then again I've only had one +220 mile ride in the twisties. I brought home in the pouring rain and rode through a lot of run off on the ride in SW PA and in WV. When I finally washed it down this week, the seat came pretty clean with very little effort. It didn't seem to have any effect on the grip or lack there of LOL Just my $.02 I don't own any stock or interest n Scotch Guard etc....

OK thanks. Scotchguard was actually the first product I thought of using. No problems with it and the color then? That stuff contains acetone... :O

Have you thought about those products that are used on classic cars.

Their seats get a lot more abuse & wear, plus the cooking effect of the windows.

I have not noticed any problems yet.... but I've only had the bike for 11 days and on one real ride .... just don't put anything on it that contains silicone and no Armor All type stuff.... the Scotch Guard was the only thing that I could find that I didn't think would be slippery nor leave a film that would attract dirt... like some of the tire shine sprays...

I spray with WD40 to clean the tar and other marks off. Then a good cleaner and scrubbing brush.
