I have one fitted on my Gen1 Tuono 2003 fitting was a piece of piss, only 4 connections to make, and setup is dead easy.
I don't understand your comment about the "diagnostic port"

I was led to believe that the Gipro was fitted purely by plugging it into the diagnostic port, and as the RSVR didn't have one it was a bit of a nightmare to wire in.
