RSVR 1000 R what to look for?

Hi everyone, new to the site and considering a purchase of an 05 RSV R.

Its only done around 11,000 miles but history wise has only had 3 services: the first one in 05, then a 6250 mile one in 08 and big one in 2010. Should I be concerned? Manual says every 12 months for servicing....

Also what should I be looking for when viewing one of these later models??

The twelve months is for the oil only I think

It breaks down after twelve months and does not do such a good job so it needs changed

Unless she's showing signs of wear, i.e. lots of noise or smoking exhaust it would not put me off

Things go wrong with these bikes like any other bike but if she starts well enough and sounds and rides good and you get all the right vibes you go for it

The only negative is that it has had the odomoeter reset itself before (as they all seem to) and reads 600 miles whereas the best estimate is 11,000. I read somewhere if I get 06 or 07 clocks I can change them and they don't have the same problem? I assume Aprilia won't replace them for free!
