rsvr 02 starting

few quick questions

why does my fuel injected rsvr 02 have a choke? as its fuel injected?

also what is starting procedure? should it start on the button or do they need throttle?

and is the choke just for cold weather starting?

thanks and apologies for dumb questions but just getting my head round the basics as i didn't get the owner manual but I've ordered a haynes, not that haynes would answer these questions.

they have English manual for 99 2000 2001 but not 2002, i have a 02 bike so Will the 01 manual be relevant to my bike?

i think but not sure the earlier models it's a fast idle not a choke, if i'm wrong i'm sure someone will put me right

Its a fast idle lever not choke , had the same setup on my zx12 . Starting the bike should be fast idle on and no throttle although the position of the lever varies .

the choke just opens the throttle a bit. that is what it does.
never start any injector engine with throttle. really never
