RSV sidestand

Good morning everybody,

I cannot believe how good these forums are for advice etc. Although after a lot of reading on her I seem to of created more and more questions:

Is there a common problem with the sidestand assembly on a 2008 RSV1000R or is it the older type of RSVr? ?.

Alot of posts saying that it is a common fault but not really advice.

Could somebody please confirm if there is a problem and advise of any possible solutions?.

Yes, the side stand is ***** on all models, toooo short, small gust and its over, I know the 2006 GSXR stand is an alternative as I have this on mine, though it does need a couple of alterations, I think the Blade stand also fits, but not sure what year, there is plenty of info on here or the Aprilia Performance site regarding this issue. :thumbup
