Rsv problem when hot

Hi all, I have a 2004 rsv and love it. I went out on it at the weekend and on my way home the bike started run on 1 cylinder. I serviced it the night before without any problems. Is there anything I need to look out for fault wise? I assume its either a faulty plug lead or cap but thought I'd ask on here before I pull the tank off. The fuel light also came on at the same time but could this be just a coincidence?

Cheers

Welcome!

I would definitely check the leads are connected Ok.

How many miles did you ride after the light came on? My light came only just as I ran out of fuel a week or so ago! Maybe it was running out of fuel?

Im with w00dzy on that, my TLR used to cut one pot if the light came on then conk out in about a mile. Never trust the light!!!

I think you're right. I lifted the tank last night and there was only a dribble left. I'll fill it up and see how it goes. I've checked the leads etc and they appear to be fine.

Fingers crossed thats it then. I wonder how we can fix the fuel light sender I guess it is some kind of float?
