RSV Millie Starting issue

Today at Mallory Park after a session my 00 Mille died. Hitting the starter button only clicked the relay. I noticed the battery connections were loose, borrowed a charger and after 30mins charge it started. However after that it never started again despite being left on charge between sessions. Had to bump start it.

After getting home (110mile trip) it still refused to start.

Any ideas? I'm thinking failed relay or starter. With headlights and main beam on they seem normal brightness so think the battery is ok.

Another bloody non starting mille ,pal you have my sympathies ,the dreaded click is defo a sign of a dodgy battery so could be a dodgy cell in it and its just not holding a charge or some problem in the charging system somewhere good luck m8

i had the click coming from my starter solenoid when i firstly, kept trying to start the bike while the battery was too low. charged battery, kept just clicking. replaced battery, kept just clicking, then found out that the starter solenoids are total crap, only 100 amp rated so burn out if you attempt to start with too low a batt voltage. replace solenoid for higher rated one, approx 150amp, never had a problem since. i do keep my mille on an optimate every wkend now though. its the best bit of kit you can buy when owning one of these. i need my bike for work and cant afford to have to many non-starts. once you learn to live around the little problems there an awesome bike.

hey Shane your right m8 thats why i chopped mine in i shouldn't even be posting here but i can't leave all you lovelly people up **** creek wi no advice,but im having some **** wi the new bike already ive only ridden it once and its at the dealers just my ****** luck,anyway go to the scottish ride oot 3 post and you should see a picture of her .Her name is delila oh is that another song coming on ,oh why why why delila wont you ****** start lol
