Hi all, have been considering selling the beast for something a bit more practical to use more for work, plus the girlfriend wants to come out more rather than sit at home for 2 hours on a saturday / sunday waiting for me.

Are old RSV's any good for taking pillions, as I may hang on to the bike and get a grabrail for her to hold on to.
Plus, to be fair, I have only done about 1200 miles on it since I got it in Sept so I'm not really fully accustomed to it yet, the discomfort of riding slow to work may start to pi$$ me off less and less?!

I have a ventura rack on mine, it comes off in 30 seconds but the other half will use it as a grab rail when she goes on, plus I bungee my rucksack to it whilst going to work as I hate wearing it on my back

I take my sister out on mine and she loves it, also fitted a triboseat which makes it much easier on yer wotsits when you brake :biggrin Use those love handle thingies too which help some. I intend getting a grab rail too at some point as this would be the best option. The wife won't come on the back until i get one :roll it's taken all year looking and still haven't got one :devious

:thumbup Keep it mate,i have a 2001 r model and i was shocked on how well it handled two up,and that is from someone who had a honda blackbird before.:biggrin

I have an 03 bike with no grab rail, my wife is on it whenever I am and she loves it (addicted to Sports bikes she is).

Gear selection seems more critical with an extra 9 stone though.

I am a tight wad so i just put some of that non slip stuff you can get in wilko's for a quid to stop her moving about too much.... :D

Get a grab rail mate and try it before you sell it :thumbup

I just use the tribo seat type thing and love handles. REALLY GRIPPY!!!!

Works a treat and means the gf isnt sitting awkward by holding on to grab rails.

Have done over 1500 miles in 4 days with the gf using both of these.
