You may have been following my last thread where I took my 2004 Aprilia RSV"R" Edwards, to a Dynojet approved center.
The aim here was not primarily to see what Hp was being put out but mainly to see how the bike was running in terms of fueling and air.
The initial results can be found here:

Well today was the day that I was having a Power Commander 3 fitted, custom map and Injector cleaning.
I would recommend having the Injectors cleaned prior to a Custom Map being done. The injector cleaning cost £80 and comes with a report as pictured below.
I have always thought careful about spending the money on a Power Commander and listened carefully also to the arguments for and against. So I decided based on my fueling + Air to invest in a Power Commander.

Well when I picked the bike up I was surprised at the transformation. My initial surprise was how the bike wanted to run away when I opened up the throttle "wow".
My other complaint was how jerky the bike was during low speed driving i.e. 5-10mph through the town center in traffic. This has now been eliminated.
The bike is so much more smoother and responsive, its amazing when looking at the graphs it just shows blue and red lines but the ride-ability between last weeks graph and this weeks graph is simply amazing.

I am now convinced totally on the Power Commander route and the Custom mapping. No 2 bikes are the same so by downloading maps from the PC website only gives you a "rough" map.

On the subject of twin mapping, this can be achieved on bikes that run a single exhaust. It can however be done on the twin exhausts on the Mille however the gains will be unnoticeable and not worth the extra 3+hours Dyno time.
This was explained in technical detail and the outcome is simple "Don't waste your money".

So the Eddy is now kicking out a healthy 129.64bp & 77.63 Torque

Here is the Injector report. As you can see the injectors were putting out different values. This has now been calibrated resulting in both injectors delivering the same amount of fuel at the same time.

This Graph shows the Fuel & Air through the gears. The only graph that matters to me is the lower graph which shows an even match. Compared to my last graph the results are 100% improved.

The Fuel & Air Graph again. This time showing Before and After. (Red=After).

The Final Graph shows the Torque.

V2 - 1060cc next? lol.

Seriously, I had the front and rear Ohlins springs changed and uprated, set up and dialed in to suit my weight (15 stone) and that's a VERY good mod too.

It's made the handling a complete joy.

Dont dare tempt me Mark lol.

If it was any other Bike I might, but I want to try and keep the Eddy as original as possible.
I already have my other bike booked in for a PC + Map its that fantastic.

Do you still have the 2 Eddys?

spot on matey

the injector cleaning was well worth it

Hi Mate
Yeah looks like it was worthwhile. The guy in the Dyno place said that nobody ever bothers using it. They spent a small fortune on this Gucci machine and it sits gathering dust. Atleast if anything people are now aware of its existence and cheapness of having it done.

Thats a much improved result V2 Fan , Clearly the shop hasn't done alot of this type off tuning , here it works with Twin system bike as well as single open systems ?? The guy here that has perfected this type of tuning came from the UK & now lives here , Friends bike 2001 RSVR with twin Akro system & 57s + edwards box made 136RWHP when twin mapped . As Garry told me most that don't know how to get it right will tell ya not to waste ya money as it doesn't work , but his results shows more than postive that it does when you know how . I would be pretty happy with 129RWHP though & that it is smoother to ride is all good . Now all ya need is a TTX36 shock & some SBK spec front forks & you will be in riding Heaven

V2,

Re the changed springs, they were only the internal Ohlins springs on the forks and the uprated Ohlins rear spring is the same colour as the original - you would never ever know by looking - also you can keep the original springs if you wanted originality although it's a bit like keeping a changed spark plug ;)

ref 2nd Eddy (# 265) yes. It was not planned but after months of looking at loads of Edwards reps I finally found one I liked and bought it, When, and lo and behold, an example that had been riddden once from Italy to UK and left under a cover for years in a car dealers garage came up for sale locally and I could not resist. IIRC it's got 1300 miles on the clock. It's not used by me just kept in storage.

Deacs / Sensei

What you say makes alot of sense.
I will send a few emails of to some of the Dyno Centers nearby to see if they have the experience of twin mapping.
So I will then be able to post a map without a Power Commander, Single Map with Power Commander and then a Twin Map with Power commander.
I will then take the bike back to the original Dyno to see the true variation of power.
