A lad at work rekons that a mate of his once owned an RSV twin with a factory carbon frame and carbon disks, he paid over £20k for it but sold it cause his TL 1000 was faster and handled better.
Is this dude talking shoite, cause I would love to call him a liar.

I think we can assume that if he had a 20k RSV, and a TL1000 handled better, he is talking *****. More likely though he just dont know what he`s on about and its the guy with the TL told him a load bollox which he took as gospel. Funny Iv heard a lot of ******** from TL owners lately, I guy told me how his TL eats millies in everyway, and did 198mph on the dyno etc etc etc. I just walked away. He was wearing a suzuki fleece at a BBQ....

I hope another stereotype isnt forming out there!

Actually now i`v got an RSV I may track him down and offer him a race through the local twisties for pink slips just to see his face :D

Generally TL geezers are salt of the earth people (gotta be coz I've had 4 of em!!) who generally know theyre stuff but every now and then someone messes that theory especially if they wear a suzuki emblazoned jumper to a bbq!!
He's talking bullshite I reckon but there are some trick and quick tl's out there

But ***** compared to a TL :p

I know cowelly. These people need to be hunted down for the greater good!

A Nera is black, yes? But this fellas mates bike was yellow and black, defo had a carbon frame and I forgot carbon wheels.
I woudent mind if this was some kid bullshitting but this guy is in his 50s.
Bet there is no photos.
Ive nothing against TLs or any bike its just what this B/S happens to own.

bet it were just carbon frame covers..it too Ducati til now to make a CF frame/subframe.
hes talking *****
ck

Yeah I was thinking frame covers...
I`v got nothing against TL`s either. But they have a massive handling floor in the rotary shock, were designed to compete in superbikes yet...
I just always get the feeling that owners are trying to justify ownership to themselves :s weird.
Still a cool bike, different at least and a good motor.

I have owned 2 TL1000r's (albeit one was owned for less than 24hours,ouch!) and I can safely say that they are cracking bikes but no where near as good handling wise as a standard RSV never mind a 20K one..

mine has a carbon frame, the bike is marshmallow light, now it does 199.9 mph, the carbon wheels make it change direction quicker than a housefly on speed, in fact i reckon i could give Stoner a run for his money:eatcorn

Too true, my uranium framed Bimota with diamond wheels and truffle tyres would be the fastest thing around but as it only does 40mpg I can't afford to run it! Shame. :}

ALSO TL's only look good when ridden by short arses (I'm one), it makes them look like the battle ships they are!

I've got a TL with an unobtainium frame and glow in the dark wheels.

Unfortunately thats why you can't ride it out of sight on a dark night.

I've also got an 04 rsvr and the TLS has much more low down and mid range. the rsv has it all over it up top.

i've got Carbon bollocks but i have a problem with corner entry since fitting them.

Carbon frame, unless it was a diy special............. he is talking as much bollocks as me. There has never been anything from Aprilia or a major vender in Carbon

i'd like a carbon frame myself. i asked once and it was in the range of 15.000 euros. too much, i'd better supercharge my bike... still end up a hell of a lot cheaper. bst wheels on the other way and ceramic bearings are on the way! :D

I had a TLR a good few years ago, it weighed the same as a small moon and handled about the same.....

yeah theres one in my mates garage, the lower frame part is made out of gorgeous CF, nice bike, like the fat forks too, mind you it looks heavy
