does anyone know if the tuono yoke and bars fit the rsv or where i can get a conversion kit? Planning on a run through france to spain this year and i'm not sure of the rsvs riding position. Also any info on routes would be appreciated.

You can get a conversion from streetfighterstore.com but Tuono yoke/bar does fit. Not sure what extra mods have to be done though, apart from trimming the front fairing :dunno

hey Darren,
the tuono top yokes do fit the RSv's yes - obviously you'll have to go for your fork type though (i.e. ohlins yoke for ohlins forks and the same again for the showas). Otherwise these guys - click me do a top yoke conversion kit. You'll need to extend your clutch and brake lines and maybe throttle cables - I did anyways.

I've been told Falco bars are ever-so-slightly higher, which would help. I'm after some myself if you spot any...

They are, but still extreme for a sports tourer.
Heli bars are a brillinat solution, like clip on extenders.
If you want further height you have two options. Either buy a kit with risers and fitment gubbins to the existing yoke, or go down the Tuono route. Here for further discussion.
Bars wise I'll probably go with Renthal Ulra Lows, straight (drag) bars are another option, I hate fighters with high bars, you sacrifice too much handling IMO. BTW with the RSV if you go with risers you'll have to sort the cutting back front fairing/screen as suggested above, otherwise no more full lock. Heli bars means the standard fairing can be retained.

I had Heli Bars on my Mille R for a Spain trip ,but when I got home took them straight of again, I'm comfy on mine for 400 miles perday as long as its sensible speeds say between 50 & 100,Our trip this year is Santander,over the Pyranees,along the south coast of France,trip to the Milloa bridge,conyac region,louire Valley & back to Roscoff,Sept 12 to 21st,sorry about the spelling but you get the idea,about 1700 miles,but I will take the Mille instead of the Falco,I know the Falco is more comfortable,but when you get the nice twisty roads I want more ground clearance,more power & better sussers

Another option is the Gilles variobars, they can be fitted with optional 60mm risers. The angle of the clip on can be made 'flatter' the rsv has quite a wrist aching angle and simply making the angle less extreme may mean you dont need to mess around extending cables...
We met a bloke in the car park at Stafford show who had some fixed clip-ons with a decent rise - said they were made by Harris and were only about £60 a pair. Might be a solution.

Apparently LSL make a really nice conversion kit for both RSV and Falco, haven't checked that yet but I do know they knock out some decent product.
