just want to say hello to everybody,i,m a new to the rsv zone.got rsv 2001 last week,all good for 20 mins of riding then the back wheel just locked up,not good ,not very inspiring,think it is because it was adjusted wrong?any idea,s

Back brake adjusted too much,fluid heats up & expands,& because lever is adjusted to far,fluid cant return to the resevoir,Yep I did it too!

rsv back brake locked up

cheers vince,i suspected adjusted wrong,i,m replacing master cil with new one ,fluid change,new pads,plus carefull adjustment,in other words abit of free play on the adjusting rod arm ,all being well should be ok then right cheers tricky

Yep, same **** happened to me mate about 40 minutes in to my ride home, I instantly thought what a piece of **** I'd bought but to be honest it was a 15 minute job to fix it.

Pulled the pads out and checked them, all OK, bled the fluid through, all OK, then saw that the rear brake lever free play was virtually non existant.

Added in a few mm of free play and it was sorted.

hello ,i,m replacing mc now,should receive it tommoz,es stuck in the middle of the road ,dragged the bike to the kerb ,time to have a *** ,use the brake disc as a lighter,at least that worked ?

hi mate,this is my first twin,so allways abit bothered with somethink new,i have had 25 + inline fours,just fancied a change cheers mick
