Dunno about you guys but here in Essex & Suffolk there seems to be a major programme of road surfacing with that god awful tar and pouring stone chips over it creating a surface that's like riding on ice!!.....I've just spent ages picking the chips from my tyres and scraping the tar off the bodywork.....you'd think there would be some law about this cheap and dangerous surfacing that seems to have become the norm....saw a Ducati Diavel upside down in a ditch recently where this ridiculous surfacing had just been done!

Couldn't agree more, part of my favourite local route was done this way a few weeks ago and it was f*****g awful, the amount of warning given by signs was woefully I slowed right down and turned off as soon as I could. It is bad enough in a car, and with all the chipping being thrown up I wonder who would be responsible if the windscreen was cracked. This method of road servicing is no joke and should be banned.

happening everywhere, had my rear hugger sprayed a month ago and now its chipped to fook :mad1

Our local council are a fcuking joke for this.

They leave this **** so deep that you end up with piles of it on the apex of every bend. It takes weeks before it gets flattened.

One road was so bad after it was done that there were huge dust clouds getting thrown up as vehicles used the road and visibility was almost zero.

Last year they did the same to the evo triangle....
The result was tragic.
As a direct result, almost 50% of bikers needed therapy for the loss of this stretch of road

They did the same to the Kinlochleven road earlier this year,,,,,,,whit a tragedy.
