And if you could grab the PCIII off it and sell it to me at a good price:devious
dont let them robbing insurance *******s do you out of money either find as many rsv's like yours for sale to use as proof (of what its worth) when they try and tell you it only worth 1500 quid:thumbup

Hiya buddy from looking at the pics it doesnt look to bad so it may be worth buying it back and rebuilding it, from the pics id say you were in the same ball park as me and mine has cost me know more then £500 from start to finish, and to be honest its quite rewarding as you also get chance to learn alot about your bike,
Plus theres no better feeling then getting a knock on the door and get handed a big parcel full of bike bits :thumbup

Late to this thread. Glad to hear you are OK. Shame about the bike. Is it worth buying back off the insurance company for a project?

Cheers for the kind words guys :thumbup
The list of damage was quite long for what was a fairly small accident and the insurance vehicle inspector stopped counting £££'s at £2500 and wrote it off.

I'm insured with Ebike and they apparently have a contract with one of the main bike salvage company's, not much chance of a buy back :confused

If things go ok i will be back on a RSV ASAP :thumbup

Hey Guys,
Some good news today, hospital are happy with the way my arm is mending and had the pot off my ankle which is also feeling alot better and a bit of movement is coming back. Another 3 weeks and i should be without the pot and then just the cruches for a while, i did ask how long it would be before i could ride a bike again and the doctor recons about 2 months :doug
Insurance company also rang to say they are giving me £2750 for my bike :confused :doug and i only have a £250 excess so with the £1k i'm claiming for helmet, leathers, boots and gloves i should be able to pick up a decent bike for £3500 :devious
Think the personal injury claim may take a while to sort out but the van driver accepted liabillity so that may speed things up.
I would love to get another RSV but i dont know if my arm could take the weight so i may end up looking for a Tuno :devious
Thanks again for all the kind posts, it did make a differance to the way i was feeling :thumbup
Ride safe guys
Cheers
Neil

sorry

sorry to hear about your bike been wrote off,i had the same thing happen to me on my old fzr600 years ago.luckly i didn't break any bones im sure some 1 is watching over me

the old girl may have been written off but you are still kickin and a screamin fella, insurance can`t buy that. At least you get to find another love of your life an make your own,,some people would give their back teeth for that privalige.

Shop away young jedi,,, beware the dark side.

Hope you nevr have the trauma of being nailed again,, take it easy out tere

Hey Guys,
So I may end up looking for a Tuono :devious
Thanks again for all the kind posts, it did make a difference to the way i was feeling :thumbup
Ride safe guys
Cheers
Neil

Ah, everyone loves a Tuono but only a real biker can ride one. Go for it Neil.

Ive had my fair share of grass tracking in my day :eek:wned, remover a few hedges and the odd ballard with shoulder (nasty). Good to hear that your spirits are up and that the insurance is on the way in. :doug

Always remember, any drop that you get to be angry about is always a good one. :thumbup

Go get that tuono and I hope the injuries mend quickly.

Glad to hear you're on the mend, and that van driver accepted liability. From experience, it will likely be 18+ months before you get injury comp. Your lawyers will want to make sure you have completely healed, though this could be quicker if you haven't damaged any joints. If you cannot manage a RSV have a look at Falco as well, slighly more relaxed version of the RSV could be the ticket.
