Ride-out on sat 18th april

Actually getting your kneedown is a illegal act on the public highway hence why it is an offence to do it, this twallop about it being the height of control is a myth and only hooligans believe this, so good day to you sir!

pete smith

Oh please, so am I a hooligan then?
Also have a look in the highways traffic act and find where it says getting your kneedown is illegal?

It does not specifically say kneedown, but it comes under the offence of driving with due care and attention and wreckless driving it depends on the officer and his/her descretion as to what it comes under in which it may vary depending on the circumstances.

thanks pete smith

So what time you on duty then fella :dunno

Far from it young man you are just an upstanding member of the community, although your knowledge is limited on motorcycles and how to ride these wonderful machines.

pete smith

Ha! By that statement you have proved you really don't know what you are talking about.
You don't know anything about me, yet you think you can summarise me in a sweeping statement like that.
Before you start slating me and my knowledge on motorcycles and how to ride them, do your research.

I'm not a police officer, i'm an I.T. consultant but my friend in the kent constabulary who is a traffic officer tells me these things.

thanks pete smith

Oh yer by the way Rockdoctor is a riding instructor :biggrin:biggrin:biggrin

You need to do research because in order to make an informed opinion you need to be fully aware of the facts involved.

As a matter of fact I work with alot of traffic police and every single one of them say getting your kneedown is NOT an offence and can't be prosecuted.
The only action they might take is a quiet word in the ear if the kneedown action was in middle of say rush hour.

This does not mean you know how to ride a motorcycle 'properly' it just means you can teach people how to ride to the standard the government has set out, so again it does not mean your a good rider or know much it just means you get a stamp saying pass or fail.

pete smith

Ok if that's what you really think, then obviously you need to be left alone with your thoughts.
If I were you I would think twice before commenting on how people ride and making judgemental statements on people that you don't even know.

:dunno Is wondering who pete really is , he can't spell for **** and claims to be well educated...... hmmmmmm I wonder.......:devious:devious

I will do this one.

PD. I will not upset anyone since I am not able to get my knee down yet...

I haven't backed down, but I have more important things to do with my time than waste it in a pointless debate with you.
Obviously you don't listen to anyone's opinion other than your own and it seems to me from reading the other posts you've left on this forum that you are some kind of wind up merchant who gets some sort of twisted pleasure from upsetting everyone.
I would suggest you mellow out and be friendly to people or move along to somewhere else on the internet to get your kicks.

Wind up merchant, i was not until 'Badboy' got aggresive with me then everyone else joined in so i threw it right back out at you !!!!

pete smith

best way to stand up to bullies pete is to give them the same back. good on ya :thumbup

Hi Stu,

Long time. Have you got a new toy then? Hope to see you on Sat.

Pete?

Are you a cop? seriously...

Ok, pleased to meet you Pete. I haven't been online since Thursday but it seems you've made a instant impact in the forum. We all ride sensibly here. At least the few times I've been in the ride outs.
