Tried reverse bleeding technique on rear brake, guess what it works!Attached pipe to syringe then caliper, slackened bleed nipple, sucked reservoir nearly empty and forced fluid up using syringe. No more removing caliper in order to bleed, bloody fantastic!I used a 50 ml syringe which holds plenty of fluid.Brake working for a week now which is a record.:thumbup

Did my rear brake with vacuum pump at mates garage.

Brilliant....

Ordered a vacuum bleeder from fleabay at the very same day.

Vacuum bleeders are okay (i borrowed my mates) , but far too expensive. I`ve had better results with a £1 syringe and a 50p piece of tubing.
:devious

Even cheaper mate!Nicked the syringe from work(NHS)and the tube from sons fish tank total cost...nowt.Now thats a bargain fleabay cant beat.

Read the thread start, even i can do do it and i aint any ace spanner. Its simple mate.

I already had and air compressor so i only bought this 360177597674 item no from flea bay. I would not call that expensive ;)

Take the reservoir cap off.

use your syringe to draw the old fluid out the reservoir.

Then connect the tube to the bleed nipple

Fill the syringe with fresh fluid

Holding the syringe at the end of the hose, fill the tube and get all the air bubbles out

Once you`ve got the bubbles out the tube, push the syringe onto the end while gently pushing fluid out so there are no air bubbles.

Did i mention , make sure there are no bubbles:biggrin

keeping gentle pressure on the syringe , slowly open the bleed nipple

Push the brake fluid in and remember to tighten the nipple before taking the syringe off to refill it.

repeat until you`ve got clean fluid in the reservoir.

Why not same idea have not get the bleeder yet, but with similar bleeder we were able to restore rear brake in a snap of an eye.
