disconnect your negative lead with ignition switched off and keep connecting and disconecting it til the needle returns to its normal place this happens ocaisionaly
Hi can you explain in more detail please Charley, as the resetting limiter didn't work, & were does the needle sit when engine off, is it at quarter past?
with the bike switched off disconect the negative terminal on your battery then quickly tap the terminal and lead together til the needle goes back to just bellow 0 rpm on your tacho then reconect and start up to check its reading right , if it isnt reading correct try the same method again
its difficult to explain how todo it without being there
Cheers Charley. I couldn't remember were the needle sits when engine is of, I didn't think it sat at just below 0 rpm, I had a feeling it sat at about quarter past on the gauge. Hope that makes sense..
Thanks chaps, My needle is way off, it sits under the word max when switched off. I will try to move it round as charley said, (sounds like an 70's safety advert, "charley says never go with strangers", funny I've been with a few strangers over the years and always had a very good time..)..will post my results soon as. Thanks again. fD
Hey, did the charley method and it worked, havent had it running yet but I'm sure it will be fine now. Thanks charley. How did you find out how to do that?? fD..:hail
