ok.. so received my air filter kit and installed it last night.. but i just have a few questions..

are you meant to be able to hear the throttle butterflies slapping under hard acceleration? or is this an indication that my TB's need balanced?

and is it 100% recommended I change eprom? as tbh on map 2 she was running rich as fook before the install (could smell the unburnt fuel if you came to a stop)

I have a renegade and mine uses the Evo Ti chip and has a PC3. Might be worth a chat to DrRossi about a chip?

she's an 02.. currently has the RP58 eprom installed.. read somewhere that the rp58 already allows you to make use of the trim pots straight out of the box.. so i could potentially fine tune fuelling myself/give it to someone with a dyno to fine tune for me?
 
Yes you can adjust them on the rp58 but from what I understand they don't allow that level of fine tuning, it's across the rev range. You really need a better chip which would also give you better fuelling in the right places and better ignition timing too.

hard to know what to do now tbh... been reading around and some people prefer the gabro chips to the dr.rossi ones.. the modded collector has been something i've been thinking about recently aswell... pc3 is out of the question for me though for definate.. seriously can't afford to fork out the sort of cash they go for to see only remedial gains..
 
DrRossi/Gabro chip is about 75 euros I think, so a relatively cheap solution. Yes a modded collector would be nice too!
