due to fit my renagade very soon and just wndered if there were any running issues? I know the standard box has ram (forced) induction through the fairing but as the new filter is in the open itl be sucking in all the warm engine air as well as, maybe, some cool, and also know some people that have fitted k and n filters ony to have crap running...have i cause to worry?

basically no... i fitted one and enjoyed the mad induction roar and increase in the low/mid range ...

the bike wll always benefit from a tb sync and co check as they do go out of balance

as for the ram air/ open/ warm air blah blah theres enough of us running them so you have no need to worry

i'm going to use spacers under the front of the tank this year as renegade did on there race bikes as this lets in a little more cold air ..there original dyno tests were with the tank down they they spaced it shoved a great fan in front of it and it showed an improvement

if you raise the tank will you lose lock as my tank has lost its paint on tank from top yolk rubbing (stupid swelling tanks)

Are all the super and similar fuels ethanol free I never use supermarket fuel

Crazyleg5

I don't think there is any guarantee that 'super' fuels do not contain ethanol. Any petrol sold in the UK, super or otherwise, can contain up to 5% ethanol without any obligation for the petrol pumps to be labelled to state this at point of sale. I understand (but might be wrong) that this may change to 10% in 2013. One way or the other the amount of ethanol in (all) fuel is set to increase and there's not much we can do about it.

You could try reading this...http://www.dft.gov.uk/topics/sustainable/biofuels/rtfo/ if you can't sleep ;)
