alright lads does anybody know whats needed to replace the chock/cold start cable? does the tank etc have to come off or is it jus a matter of feeding it through with removing anything?

cheers:thumbup

also one more quickie how do ya remove the clip ons i thought they were on top of the yokes but just checked and there below

question is how on earth do ya get them off bareing in mind im in my garage on my own with no lifts etc i thought it was going to be the simplists of jobs :confused

If i remember correctly you should be able to do the cable with just the tank raised on it's stand.

The clip ons do bolt on the underside of the top yoke. You need to remove the top yoke, think either a 19 or 21 mm allen key is used (cant remember) bolt numer 8 on top pic and then the two bolts, bolts number 12 on top pic. Then one bolt hold the clip on it in place around the fork leg, bolt numer 12,bottom pic and another bolt, bolts up to the under side of the top yoke. Bolt number 7 bottom pic. hope this diagram helps,

Mine was a 14mm socket allen key when I replace a snapped handlebar £3:00 ish from Halfords :thumbup I think they called it a "drain plug key" just measure across the two flats for the correct size

alright lads all sorted brought an allen key and the jobs done got loads of stuff arrive this weekend so ill stick all the pics up together when i update my erbuild post,

Right back to the cold start cable fitting ive had a good look and it seems to be a piece of cake, i followed the cable though to wear its located, which is just under the air box, the question i ask now is how do ya remove the air box because from looking at it, it seems i need to remove the lid from the air box and also the filter, seems to be other things screewed to the bottom of the box, Or on the other hand this is wishfull thinking at its finest "Does the box just lift up and slide off all the attachements underneath?

any help will be greatfully recieved,

Wishful thinking I'm afraid. Take off the lid, take out the filter, undo the 8 (I think) bolts inside and lift the base off. Oh, There are other bits clipped to it underneath so be careful. One is the big jubilee clip to the air intake thingie. You might tell, I'm writing from memory here. It's not a big job - 10 minutes is all it took me. Good luck.

Hey Bob cheers buddy got it all done today werent as bad as i thought to be fair:thumbup
