Got a couple of days off this week because I'm working a weekend shift so I thought I'd take a trip down to my local Dynojet place and see if I could get a remap booked in. I've just fitted 57mm TB's (+DrRossi chip), redratbike exhaust manifold and already had an open airbox and race can. PCIII was fitted already when I got the bike.

Turns out he can fit me in tomorrow morning! Woohoo! . Using a place that's 2mins away from my house, has a very good reputation and my mate used the place to get his Zcars mini remapped too: http://www.daytuner.co.uk/. £150 including balancing throttle bodies :) . The guy used to ride LOTS of RSV's so he knows all about them, how to set them up etc.

Let us know how you get on, I've started collecting kit similar kit for my 2002 haga rep, open airbox on its way, 57mm Dr Rossi kit in the pipe line and PC3 for the fine tuning. Had mine dyno'd as standard a few weeks back for before and after comparisons, as standard I'm just under 120 bhp at wheel and a shade under 70ib/ft torque. I'm hoping for a 10 bhp gain, anyone know if thats realistic? And whats the next step in the power quest from there?

After the stuff I've got, the next step would be a big bore kit to 1060cc... which isn't cheap! about a 10bhp gain sounds possible, that's what I'm hoping for :). But it's going to give a good boost in the midrange that we'll notice more! Will report back how it goes!

He has the bike now.. just waiting for the call to go and watch the final dyno run.

mark99, that is some healthy power! :D .

Stormer,

Yes getting just a smidge over 130 was nice. And feck me it goes like stink.

Hey Mark

I have my Eddy booked in tomorrow at HM Racing in Orpington.
Depending on the Run will depend whether I go down the Power Commander route.

Will be nice to compare the 2 Eddy's

Results Tomorrow ;)

V2 Fan,

Yes if you want to send me the PCommander USB file for your bike - if you buy one (you need the cable and software for this which should come with the P Commander) and visa versa, we should be able to see how they set them up.

Mark ;)

Hi Mark
Just had the Bike on the Dyno, I will upload the chart shortly.
Bike is booked in next week for a PC3 & Custom Map. Also mentioned that I want a copy of the map on CD-R which he is doing.
Ill send this across to you.

Regards

Jake

Ok guys here it is:

(Click for bigger image).

Not quite the peak BHP I was expecting but it's a very conservative dyno. He showed me some other graphs for RSV's he's mapped and even with a full 2-2 exhaust system they were making around 120bhp so it's more about the INCREASE than the actual peak it's reading. Mine made more (122bhp) than one with the Akraprovic SBK 2-2 system  . I should note, the blue line is with all the mods fitted but not mapped. So it would be even less without the air filter, exhaust (manifold and silencer) and Eprom chip fitted. Red is obviously the after results :D . On another dyno I would expect it to show at least 5bhp more than this one.

After riding it... Wow! Feels incredibly smooth and pulls harder all the way through the rev range, the 5-6k rev dip in power is completely eliminated. Even at part throttle openings it just feels better, more controllable.

The dyno run did show up a slight problem with the bike... my clutch slips just a little at peak torque (almost bang on 8k revs) so I'll be taking the plates out and roughing them up as a preventative bit of maintainance but might need a new clutch eventually (maybe treat myself to a proper slipper clutch if I'm still loving the bike at that point!).

And here's a video (quite long, ~5mins!):

Yep, very happy .

Next?! Stickers haha! Some of the front ones have faded quite a lot, so will get some replacements from that imageworks place. Other than that... spending money on tyres and a good few trackdays next year! :D .

The only other thing I could do for more power is big bore kit which is a lot more money than I've spent on this stuff so far! Just going to enjoy it for a while :) . Unless you think I've missed something?

hey St.good power there...hoping to have mine mapped soon..let me know when the standard collector is on its way back and i'll refund the deposit

missed something..mmmm...cheesy has some fw race cams for sale...that and a bit of porting could yield another bump in power

Sorry about the delay in the headers back red, they're sat in my kitchen packaged up but I've lost your address since the forum went down so if you could PM me it again that would be great! :).

As for the cams and porting... don't tempt me!! I'm trying to be good now!

ha ha.. i think i'll stop once its dyno/custom mapped..i did buy some fw heads and cams form ebay but they turned out to be scrap..gutted as i got them for a bargain price..i ping my address off to you

I went out for a ride today on my favourite roads (125 mile round trip) and had a lot of fun, its so much better coming out of corners etc when you have such instant and smooth throttle response! Had a few moments shaking the bars when I gave it too much too soon but the steering damper kept it in check and I just ended up laughing like a loon in my helmet! :D. Don't think I need any more power for now :). 16/42 feels like good gearing to me as well but I want to try it on track!

Hooligan!! Looking forward to getting my mods done now but too busy enjoying the decent weather to take her of the road just yet. Whats your fuel consumption like now, any/much worse?
