Refitting side stand tips

Hello all.
First time posting so go easy on me!

I've got a 2008 Tuono track bike. I want to refit the side stand. It had been removed before I bought it so I'm looking for any tips on refitting and any pitfalls to avoid.

Whats the problem?
Bolting on the bracket,..or fitting the stand to the bracket? It aint rocket science ya know.

Fit it in the up position with the springs already hooked up,,, works a treat and saves yer knuckles.

Thanks for the knuckle saving tip and the welcome. Is the cut out switch a straight forward affair?

Anyone know where I can pick one up other than eBay?

One bolt in the centre and a little peg to line up in the hole of the stand.You will see its obvious when you get it.Use a little blue loctite on the bolt threads.
Your local Aprilia dealer will want to relieve you of around Â£55 for a new switch,...I'd get one from ebay.

I've got my eye on a stand from a 2005 fireblade. I believe that they bolt straight on. Is that right?

Yes,the '04-06 'Blade stand should bolt straight on.You will need to use the Aprilia bracket though.
