Hi, just fitted new chain and sprockets as recommended (16/44) but when its on paddock stand and i spin back wheel i hear a clonking sound even tho the sprockets look to be lined up correctly, i've heard mentioned it could be cush rubbers, any ideas ?

Is the clonking coming from the actual rear wheel or is it the chain slapping on the guides?

Is the chain tension spot on?

Mine was only out by 5 mm and when I was riding it flapped about like a flappy thing and sounded terminal.

You need to clean up and lightly grease the outside of the 5 pins on the sprocket carrier that fit into the recesses on the rear wheel. It a common issue and easily resolved. Make sure you've correctly torqued up the sprocket bolts too, 50Nm or 37 lb/ft

yeah cheers i'll give that a try, i've replaced 3 of the sprocket bushings as 1 broke and another 2 looked stretched, so i'll take carrier off and grease them, and check torque as i set them at 37lb but its an alu rear sprocket so may need retighten
