will have to count the teeth at the weekend :dunno

Talon sprox are aftermarket mate. The number of teeth should be stamped on it somewhere.

just googled them and admit they are trick but if the talon is a 42 it will be staying on.

eventually got round to doing the chain and sprockets this weekend, the talon was a 44 tooth with the 16 tooth front and the previous owner had managed to squeeze the standard chain back on as well fud. now sporting 15 / 42 with a new DID chain and hard anodised renthal rear sprocket, was going for a supersprox but funds were low after purchasing the Akras.
took it out for a run yesterday and was even more impressed than normal in fact i'm still grinning now.

Gen 2 chains link count is 106 with 16/40 gearing, do you keep the same link count when upgrading to 15/42? Can you use 108? I found one on Ebay DID ZVMX 108 with good price

Dim, the standard length chain will fit, not sure on the 108 but i am sure someone on here will know.

How much difference can you feel Brooksy?

GF the difference is more than i thought:
all the bimbling through towns is as smooth as a babys butt
very quick and smooth when pushing harder
lot easier on overtakes
and if you so desire power wheelies at the drop of a hat
and to top it all off with the Akras fitted an awesome sound track :thumbup

Cheers mate. I'll probably go this route when I need a new chain etc, as the one on is good. Having said that I may drop a cog on the front sprocket.

for the price of a front sprocket and 15 mins work its worth it :yes or go the whole hog with an hours labour and around £150 and change the lot :thumbup also gives you a good oppertunity to clean the inside of the swing arm :lol
