stuff for her just fitted. the screen was easy but rear sets were pretty hard to fit. I've got problems with the brake side since though everything seemed ok at first sight brake didn't work after fitting the parts. Got the gilles pdf manual and realized that one f**cking step was missing. Finally footrest worked fine and now already adjusted (set back as compared to dealer settings).

As you said they are the dogs bollocks :thumbup, look solid and nice and by the few kmts I've ridden setup seems to be ok to me (it remains to be seen what will happen on the track :biggrin).

and.. well.. the follwoing... the akra cans... coming soon fffffffff :scared:scared

Looks nice sergi :thumbup, they blend in nice with the dark frame as well. When you have the :hail AKRA's fitted and other new stuff let us see :thumbup

yes, this is why I got them in black; I thought they'll look nice and now I am in the doubt with the cans (fibre or titanium).. probably titanium as I don't like how carbon fiber turns pale with the sun...

Guess the black carbon ones would look nice to match in with the frame and stuff but personally i would go titanium , what ever you do its going to look dog bollo##s :thumbup

Noob question....

What's the reason for fitting after-market footrests?

1. fully-adjustable - BRG: understandable
2. look nicer - BRG: debatable
My reason for asking was that I'd heard that the rear brake master cylinder on the RSVR is very susceptible to heat and consequently the rear brake prone to 'disappear'. Rearsets were suggested as a means to mount the master cyclinder remotely and cure the problem. T or F?

well everyone to his own taste and, on the other hand, who really uses the rear brake?? :biggrin

True-ish ....it's the reservoir that's moved not the master cylinder.....so the master cylinder still heats up and rear brake goes walkabout...There are some 'cures', a heat shield to reduce the master cylinder getting hot, an aftermarket master cylinder with a bigger bore or just don't bother using it (apart from MOT time...quick get some pressure in there!!) :thumbup

In that Gilles sets both parts are moved (reservoir and cylinder) -see pic-.

I don't worry about this since my original rear brake pump never went down as I hardly ever use it

Sergi, Did you install the sprockets that were talked about earlier? What did you find about the performance?

I did and posted how I've felt her after that.... rev meter seems to go crazy when twisting the throttle, :biggrin:biggrin:biggrin:biggrin this and the new engine mapping, together with the sprocket change fffffffffff and now waiting for the akrasssssss (and a better weather here for a rideout) :love2:love2
