first off, check your suspension is set correctly to your weight. the amount it sags under your weight at rest is very important, if your weight is not compressing the rear much, could explain why it feels high. REALLY WORTHWHILE
secondly the seatpad can be modded, covering removed, scallop out an inch of padding or so from the bottom side of the foam and refit cover, pulling it tight. Has the benefit of lowering seat height without messing with the geometry of the chassis.
if after both are checked, there is a extra nut and thread just above the bottom eye mount of the rear shock (blue nut) that is used to alter the shock length. a small difference here is magnified many times over to the tail height, but this does alter geometry, lowering the back will make it turn it slower, and if it has to be done, then dropping the forks through the yolks to lower the nose by a similar amount can retain the correct steering feel, though I've heard it said that lowering the entire bike, even front and rear matched together is a bad thing and to be avoided.
