Need to get at sometime a half decent stand. My lad bought a cheapie stand for his bike and tbh, its a bit on the flimsy side.
There are plenty out there but any recommendations.......before I make my own over engineered rolls royce creation.

believe it or not...

Aldi have some in..

not bad quality at all.. £30. check out the online cat.

I have an Abba, and it's a great bit of kit, brilliant in fact. My only reservation, it that they can be a bit fiddly to use, and more suited to full on maintenance.
If you want lightweight stand to 'chuck' under & life the bike quickly when you get home after a blast, then a paddock stand is deffo the way to go.
I bought a stainless steel harris, light, beautifully made, ooozes quality, will last a lifetime. However, I also have a really old micron paddock stand, which given the stick it's received, has held together really well, and is probs far better value for money..

Went to Aldi, checked out the stand, yep, it'll do me fine. Doesnt have the lifting plates to use with bobbins, but I'll soon cure that.
Has a seperate set of lifting items to lift the front of the bike too. Well made, worth the money. Test it out on Sat.

:rolleyesALDI for bike related items, who would have thought. got myself some lovely socks and windstopper garments:thumbup

looked on their website last night & thought I might go have a look myself today. Just contemplated a cheap helmet to mount my helmet cam to. Had a trial run yesterday mounted to my fork yokes. Got home & all I had was the view of the screen & the noise of the bike revving & wind. Sounded good though & was worth the trial. Other alternative I thought of was mounting one of the mirror stem mounts as I have a Bar end mirror fitted.

Hi Mick, can't you get attachments for these cameras to attach to the tanks or the centre of the bars. A lot of bikes mount them in the middle behind the screen so you get to see the speedo etc and it stops the wind blast.

Mounted mine on the bars not enough height to get over the Ermax screen. Could put on front mudguard or used the helmet attachment. First time out was an experiment. Pisser is somehow snapped the battery retaining clip so can't charge the battery, trying ton get a replacement but model is now obselete so can't refund offered, new model £100 more. I also bought some accesories, external microphone, battery expansion pack, waterproof housing, protective carry case. Feckers aren't compatible with new model so up **** creek. To cap it all off am typing away an extended esay on customer service web site. just summarising my lengthy complaint & computer bins the lot. can't work out how to view my browsing history so ****** irrate just at the moment. feel sorry for the cat as he's frast asleep but in striking distance.
