Re triangle warning light

Yea - when I first bought an oil filter, they gave me a long one and it would not fit - strange as my 07 T had a long one. Went to bike this morning and oil was to the top of the filler plug!. Drained out some oil down to min(cold) and all was well until exactly 10 miles again! Now same problem and oil level showing to max level.
Very strange
Ian
Sounds like the bike is 'wet sumping' mate.Common problem on old dry sump bikes where the oil would escape past the non return valve and flood the engine. The oil tank level gets low so the owner tops up the tank,.....only for it to overflow when the engine is started and the oil gets pumped back to the tank.
Not heard of it on the T tho.
Might be an oil pump problem or a leaking seal.Might be an idea to get the oil pressure tested.

Of course, all the above is irrelevant if the oil level has'nt been checked correctly.
Engine nice and warm,...bike upright,on a paddock stand,...oil halfway up the sight tube.

Hi chaps

will try to have another look this week - my inclination is to drain all the oil and filter housing and start again and see what happens.

Cheers, Ian

And if you still have the problem?
Take some of the oil out first, then, when its hot & runing make sure its between the 2 markers. This could solve the problem, you need to try it first. A few of us have already suggested this, go for it bud

Had the same probelm a couple of days ago. Put about a cup of oil in and the light has gone out again. Getting the oil and filter done tomorrow, so will see how much is in there the noo.
