I've just fitted a set of racetecs on my bike, 190 rear, I had to remove the rear hugger as the profile of the tyre was really steep and it was rubbing against the hugger, anyone else had this problem?

Has your gearing pulled the wheel right forward in the swingarm?, just also remember the wheel will expand slightly with centrifugal force as the speed gets up so it might foul it even more once on the move.

its got a fair gap between that and the tyre so it should be fine, just the hugger was ticking me off, was thinking of spacing it out alittle tomorrow, i've just taken it off for now.

Our rim size will accept a 190 and the hugger should not be in the way.

Why did you go with the 190 instead of the 180?

COULD HAVE BEEN !!!

I Think a previous owner had a 190 rear on mine as it has ripped away the rear hugger completely just leaving the mounting studs left inside the swingarm, hence cant put a hugger on now unless i can get someone to drill em out.
Is it worth it?:dowhat
LOADS of people have told me not to bother with it as you would have to take the swingarm out to get to it.
OK if you know what you are doing and confident @ doing it yourself but not a task i would do on me todd.
Times like now I wish i was a Motorcycle mechanic....:roll
